Having seen these stools in the Maciejowski Bible and elsewhere, parked under the bums of kings and princes, a few years ago I decided my pavilion needed one. So, blissfully ignorant of all aspects of furniture making, I went ahead and made it.
It was not hard, it was not expensive, and it looks lovely.
In the photographs which follow, the ruler is a standard 300mm one, the paper is A4-sized (210 by 297 mm).
